Trails

Serrano Pools – Sand Caves – Cachoeirinha (Small Waterfall) – Primavera Waterfall – Mirante de Lençóis.

Leaving towards the Lençóis River your first stop will be the natural pools called Serrano. Afterwards you’ll go to the sand caves formed from the erosion of conglomerate rocks. Continuing up the trail you’ll arrive at Cachoeirinha (Small Waterfall), a little waterfall where you’ll take a bath. At a much higher point up in the hills you’ll encounter Primavera waterfall and a pool at the top of a lookout point where you can admire the panoramic view of Lençóis below you.

Ribeirão do Meio – Veneno Hill view.

Walking 3 km will bring you to Ribeirão do Meio which is a large pool with a natural waterslide made of pinkish stones.

Sossego Waterfall – Ribeirão do Meio Pool.

After conquering a hike of 7 km on a beautiful trail up a long canyon you’ll certainly be rewarded. Sossego means tranquility and the waterfall lives up to its name. At the mouth of the canyon this cascading waterfall offers a large and deep pool to swim in with high canyons walls on all sides.

Capivari  Waterfall – Poção Waterfall – Mixila Waterfall.

Leaving from Lençóis, we’ll go 40 minutes by car along the old diamond miner’s road to arrive at Capivara River where we’ll meet up with the trailhead.

Palmital Waterfall – Capivara Waterfall – Fumaça Waterfall 

We will leave Lençóis walking until the Ribeirão do Meio. From there, we go up the Veneno Hill to Palmital Waterfall, where we will have a refreshing swim in a pool where two parallel falls down by a wall. Then we will walk to the Capivara den, formerly used by the miners, now serving as a camp for travelers.

Devil’s Pool – Green Pool - Pai Inácio Waterfall - Pai Inácio Hill.

1º day: We leave Lençóis at 08:30 bound for the Mucugezinho River, where we will enjoy a delicious bath in the Devil's Pool. After we are going to lunch in Mucugezinho restaurant and from there we will start a walk of 4 hours and half bound for the Green Pool, where we will set up the camp to spend the night.

Paty Valley

1º day: Leaving Lençóis by car, we will arrive in the village of Guiné where we will get the trailhead.  From there, we will start a walk of roughly 3 hours. We will go up Beco Hill, across the Black River Plateau and eventually arrive at a place called “Rampa” where we will witness one of the most beautiful overlooks of the valley. Then we will go to one of the native’s house, where we will find good food and lodging.

Mucugezinho River – Three Brothers Valley – Águas Claras Waterfall – Ribeirão Valley – Grisante Hill.

1º day: We start out by car for 25 minutes and begin our walk and within the first half hour we’ll enjoy a great view of Pai Inácio Hill. We’ll walk for another 40 minutes to Mucugezinho River where we’ll stop for lunch.  After lunch we’ll walk through the Three Brothers Valley where we’ll come across the many small but beautiful cascading waterfalls of Águas Claras (Clear Waters) where we’ll camp for the night.

Pai Inácio Hill – Mucugezinho River – Barro Branco Hamlet – Barro Branco River.

We leave Lençóis by car to the base of the Pai Inácio Hill. From there, we will walk the old road that gave access by car to the city of Lençóis. We will take bath in the Mucugezinho River and will appreciate the natural gate of the Mucugezinho Hill.

Ribeirão River – Grisante River - Ribeirão Valley – Rio dos Bois – Rio da Conceição - Riachinho – Capão Valley.

We will walk along a path that was opened in the nineteenth century by the miners to facilitate the supply to the city of Lençóis with banana, coffee and vegetables that were and are abundant in the Capão Valley region.
